Happy Birthday to Ella and Jackson!

Saturday was Ella and Jackson's combined birthday party!!! We had such a good time. We did it at Pump It Up which is basically two HUGE rooms with several different kinds of Bounce Houses. The kids LOVED it.

The Birthday Boy and Girl were very pleased with their party! Ella is so blessed to have Jackson in her life!

Ella's Dada is so silly!

Check out the handstand my girl is doing! This is not the first time she has attempted this. I'm convinced she's a gymnast at heart.

Angela and Jonas. His red hair is awesome!

One of the many obstacle courses that Dada and Ella went through.

Yes, Ella is on Heath's shoulders while he is climbing up this. And yes, it stressed me out.

Laney and Ella laid out with fun!

Laney and Kristin going down the slide.

There are 3 things about this video that make me smile:
1. Heath and Ella playing so sweetly.
2. Melissa and her precious baby Gabriel sleeping soundly in his sling.
AND
3. Amanda and Curtis bouncing in the background!!!!

Here's a picture of Melissa and Gabe and the cuteness of the sling.

Amanda and I getting our sneak peak at the room before the invasion of The Tods. We were SO pleased by the way the workers decorated it!

The Birthday boy and girl with their Pablo cake!

The Birthday Girl once again cries when we sang Happy Birthday. For some reason she has some sort of negative attachment to this song or BIG groups of people loudly singing and staring at her. Don't we all want to cry and climb into a hole when a group of people sing that song to us?

We lit the candle twice so both Tods would get a chance to blow it out.

More blue mouths!

Ella was not happy having to share the balloons and chair with Jackson. Can anyone say naptime?

She much preferred to be Queen all by herself.

It was such a fun day! We were so honored to be able to celebrate Ella's birthday with sweet Jackson!! I'm thinking this could be a new tradition.

I said it on Amanda's blog, but I'll say it here again: why, for the love of all things bouncy, were there no Pump It Up's in '84 when I was born? Why, God, why?

I LOVE Pump it UP!!
I had my oldest son's 3rd birthday party there and we had a ball!
They look like they have added a few different ones- yeah!
I also love the videos they are so fun!
Poor Ella with the birthday song - I too want to cry when a bunch of people sing that song for me - it is SO intimidating!
I pray that God will greatly bless Ella's 2nd year of life. May she bring you much joy, laughter, and love!

Oh my word! When did you get this makeover? Did this happen today or have I just been reading your blog on bloglines and missing it? It looks amazing!

I love the pics and all the videos. I was cracking up about me and my hair and my husband jumping in the background. By the way, you are such a good photographer!

I'm so glad we did the party together!

Looked like a blast! So fun. It reminds me of when I was little, and I had combined birthday parties with 2 of my best friends at the time. We did it like 4 years in row! So fun.

And yes, it would be so fun to meet you next time your in Houston! That would make my heart so happy! What fun!

Have a great week!

Yay! It looks like you guys had so much fun. My heart aches a little because we missed it. But thank goodness for blogs and videos. I got to share in the action a bit. Great pictures by the way and the video with Amanda and Curtis jumping in the background is priceless.

i love your fun birthday pics and videos - my favorite part by far is when you start LAUGHING at Ella when she is obviously terrified of people singing happy birthday to her....I wonder if it would have the same effect if sung in Spanish?

Happy Birthday Ella! Looks like great fun! We did Ryan's 3rd at a bounce house and it was AWESOME. I love that they did all the work. All I had to do was show up with the cake. WONDERFUL! Great pictures as always!

What a fun birthday party for Ella and Jackson! Maybe next year the birthday song won't be so scary!

The video of Amanda and Curtis jumping in the background is hilarious - it took me a moment to see Jackson running around there too. I was thinking how fun - the moms and dads took turns playing too! LOL! :)

To copy you, four things that made me smile:
1) Ella's Daddy being so sweet and tender with her--what a good Daddy!
2) Your sweet, loving and compassionate response to Ella, when she cried during "Happy Birthday."
3) Amanda and Curtis and Amanda's hair jumping behind Ella and her Daddy--I loved seeing them having fun like a couple of kids :) (Another reason why we love Pump it Up! Being kids again)
4) The blue icing on Ellas mouth--meaning this cake is so good, I want to save some for later!

PS Oops, I left duplicate comments! I deleted one :) It's not like that commercial with the guy on the cell phone leaving his date 50 different messages and then deleting them--have you seen that? It is hilarious!
