This day (Thursday) of our trip, I scheduled for us to go to Hollywood Studios (which used to be MGM) for the morning and then head to Epcot in time to eat lunch at one of the countries and then spend the remainder of the day there. We love Epcot! I know I've said that a million times.
Hollywood Studios
There really isn't that many great things at Hollywood Studios. There's about 3 or 4 rides that are fun and that's about it. But we still don't want to miss it. PLUS, this is the park where Ella FINALLY got to meet her beloved, Mickey! That alone was worth going!
These are not a real buildings or a real road! They are walls. Isn't that cool?
This is a really fun part about Hollywood Studios. I can't tell you the amount of pictures my family has at this playground over the past 15 years. It was so fun to take Ella here. I never would have imagined in our past trips that I would one day have a two year old daughter playing on the same slides and oversized blades of grass!
This is the slide coming out of the Kodak film from the picture above.
"Look out for the giant ant!!" Oh wait, it's not giant, we are just VERY small!
This is the entrance to the Studios. Ella spotted this Mickey from the parking lot and immediately got so happy!
EPCOT!
We arrived and immediately walked to the World Showcase so we could decide which country to eat lunch. We were so giddy. My family loves to eat and it so exciting to eat here because there are so many wonderful options and everything is so different!
After much deliberation, we decided on France! This is the only picture I have of our French food experience. It was good. Definitely not my favorite country, but we can check it off the list.
After we ate, we took our time and strolled through some more of the countries and went into the shops. We were not in a big hurry since we had already done all of the big stuff we wanted to get to when Heath's sister's were there. Heath's goal was to take pictures of every country and then if they turned out cool we might print some and hang them in our house. I love how they turned out. There are so many that I'm going to do a separate post on that.
Ella on the phone in the United Kingdom! I think she's talking to her friends. Maybe thanking Jackson for the monkey backpack. Or thanking Ava for the toys for the airplane ride. Or thanking Laney for watching our dog Jones. Or thanking Joshua for taking us and picking us up from the airport! :-)
"Mama, it's for you."
Doing the happy dance for Mary Poppins!
Spaceship Earth is the ride that is inside the big Epcot ball! It's not a fast ride, but it's really really cool! They just revamped it and did this really funny thing. At the beginning of the ride, they said to smile for a picture, but you don't know why. During the end of the ride, this pops up on the little tv screen that is in each individual car. It puts the picture you took at the beginning on these cartoon bodies and goes through all these different scenes! It's hilarious!! We were laughing so hard. Heath's didn't turn out because he was making a funny face. So it would have been funnier. But my mom and dad had Ella in their car and so Ella's face is on one of the bodies. My mom said it was hilarious!
This is a picture of the ball when we were leaving for the day. It was really sad to leave because I knew we wouldn't be returning to Epcot for a few years. And Ella loved Epcot. She loved the big ball! I'll never forget the first time she saw it. She was mesmerized and said a million times, "BIG BALL!"
I meant to get a posed picture of her in front of her favorite thing, the big ball, but I forgot and right when we leaving I started freaking out needing this picture. Yes, I'm crazy. So I had to snap it while we were walking to the car.

Hi Janelle! I found you through Kim's blog today. I think that I have been here before, through Amanda's blog, but I have never left a comment. (I don't think I have anyway!)
I enjoyed your pictures from your trip. We took the kids to Disney World a couple of years ago, and they are still talking about it! Our youngest was 3 and he remembers all of it! It amazes me! We played in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, too... It's so much fun!
Take Care-
Darlene
Love the new blog design!!
Our fav place to eat in epcot is Japan at the place where they cook in front of you. We haven't tried it with the boys yet ... we stick mostly to America with them. we will see where we land when we are there in just a few weeks. We only get a few days but it is free so I cannot complain!
Oh my goodness... I can't believe you put Epcot and MGM (still to me!) in the same post. I almost fell out of my chair. THESE ARE THE TWO BEST PLACES IN THE WORLD.
Seriously, I wanted to cry looking at the pictures. There are no words to describe how I feel about Epcot / MGM. No words at all.
Too bad you guys don't know how to have fun! Just kidding! I love coming to visit your blog because it's the best, just the best!
Love,
Angie xoxo
