Ella's Birthday Weekend!

We had a fabulous birthday weekend with Ella!

Friday, her actual birthday, we didn't do much celebrating, but we did a lot of preparation for her big family party that was Saturday.

We did, however, celebrate with Starbucks that afternoon!

Ella was born at 3:32 P.M

Ella last year at 3:32 P.M.

Ella this year at 3:32 P.M

I get some great shots of her so happy at 3:32 each year. Maybe she's reflecting on her entrance into the world, cold and bright. And I totally had to pull over on the side of the road to get this year's 3:32 shot. I was racing to get to our destination before the clock turned, but I wasn't fast enough.

Saturday evening, we had a big family party at my parent's house. This year's birthday theme was none other than PABLO! It just had to be that, right?

Heath's mom made her cake!! Didn't she do an incredible job?! It was awesome! Ella was so excited about her Pablo cake.

She got many fun things. Of course she got Tyrone, from my parents. Now she has 3 out of the 5 Backyardigans.
And she's showing off her charm bracelet that we got for her at Disney World.

She got this really cute hippo from my Grandparents. I know it looks cruel, but she really did want to run around the house with it tied to her pants!

The ultimate gift was a toy Dirt Devil vacuum from my parents! Ella loves to pretend to do housework. I think she must learn that from my mom. :-)

My sister gave her a build a bear (bunny) for Christmas. And for her birthday, she got her a complete Dallas Cowboy cheerleading uniform for it. It's so cute.

As you could probably guess, we got a lot of her birthday presents from Disney World.
Here she is opening more charms for her bracelet. This is my sweet cousin Zach. He turns 6 today, so we had a joint familiy party for him and Ella!

A little mermaid cup.

A Cinderella frame. Now I just have the hard job of deciding which of my millions of DW pictures to put in it. :-)

There were two things that concerned me about having a Pablo cake:
1. That she would have a meltdown similar to the meltdown she had at DW when the waitor lit the candle on her birthday cupcake.
2. That she would have issues with us cutting Pablo up into pieces and eating him.

Thankfully, she did just fine with both of my concerns.

With so much cake coloring, it stained our mouths just a tad. Ella looks very amused by her parents. It's starting already.

Sunday afternoon Heath's sisters came over for another Ella b-day party. Heath's mom and sisters got Ella these adorable outdoor toys from BabyStyle!

Ella is still in her jammies because she came down with a horrible cold on Saturday. She's much better today though.

It was a really fun birthday weekend for sweet Ella, my precious 2 year old. Next weekend, Ella and Jackson are having a combined birthday party!!! I am so excited. It's going to be awesome! Jackson turned 2 yesterday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKSON!!!!!

What a wonderful and fun idea to take a picture of your daughter at the time she was born! I already missed my girlies first birthday - but I am totally stealing that idea for next year! I am glad I just found your blog - your Ella is so cute! Thanks!!

Happy Birthday to sweet Ella! Your taking her picture at the same time every year reminds me of the man I saw recently who had taken a pic of his daughter every day her entire life (12 years) It was the COOLEST thing...!

I'm SO not that organized.

Hey Janelle: Of course I remember you, and your little Ella is a doll! She looks like both you and Heath to me. Crazy how time flies, suddenly we're married, and then babies :) I'll have to put a link to your blog on mine so I can keep up. These terrible maladies have kept me off line far too long, but I do thank you for your prayers. They are much needed AND appreciated!
