Disney World - Day 5 Animal Kingdom AGAIN

By now I am probably totally boring you out with Disney posts. But I'm going to try to persevere and get through all 7 days so I can have it recorded. I hope you are still enjoying our adventure! I will take a break from it though because my precious daughter turns 2 at 3:32 P.M. on Friday, the 15th!!! I can't really believe it. With our Disney trip and some other things going on, I haven't had time to process this or really think much on it. But I'm starting tonight to get pretty emotional about it. I can't even tell you how FUN this last year has been with her! I have just LOVED this phase. I can't imagine it getting any better, but from what other people have told me I know it will. That's very exciting. Anyway, I will leave more of my thoughts on her turning two for Friday's post. Back to Disney!

The funny thing about this day, is that in my Disney notebook, this day was supposed to be our rest day. Well, when we upgraded our tickets from 5 days to 7 days we decided to not totally rest this day. We did sleep in and relax that morning, but returned to Animal Kingdom about 11:00. We were SO HAPPY that we did this because we were able to take our time and do things just for Ella. From this point on in our trip, everything we did was about Ella. We had already experienced all the big rides that we wanted to. So we took our time at each park and only did things that Ella would enjoy. It was really really fun!

Jiminy Cricket was so sweet!

Pocahontas!! She was so sweet to Ella! She spent lots of time with her.

Rafiki!

This is a precious video of Ella and Rafiki playing the tickle game. Ella borrowed Jackson's monkey backpack to we could keep track of her in the crowds when she wanted to take a break from her stroller. When she got to Rafiki, she grabbed the "tail" of the monkey and started tickling his nose with it. She thought it was hilarious and Rafiki played along SO sweetly!

This was the sweetest part of the day. In the kids' part of Animal Kingdom they had these carnival games. Heath and my dad entered the Wack a Dinosaur game along with about 6 other men. I was jokingly saying "Heath, you have to win the Dinosaur for your daughter." What I didn't know was that's a big deal to a dad. All you wives can ask your husbands, but there's something very tender to a man to be able to WIN something for their little girl or boy.

Praise the Lord, Heath WON!! It was a very exciting moment. Heath was overjoyed winning something for his baby girl and he did it with ONE arm while he was holding her with the other! It was a very sweet moment to witness between father and daughter. We were all jumping up and down and clapping which is why I missed the moment the lady working the booth handed them the prize.

Ella was very happy and is sleeping with her Dinosaur in her crib at this moment.

Animal Kingdom has a really cool parade! Ella shared a seat on all of our shoulders to get a prime view. Almost every character in the park stopped in their route so they could see and touch her. They think she is precious and we do too!

Silly Dada!

Chip and Dale!

Brer Rabbit!

Pluto giving Grandad kisses!

Weird, creepy person. Not really sure what they are supposed to be, but they loved Ella.

Yes, we are digging into a turkey leg!! I wish I had one right now to dig in to. This was a GOOD lunch!

Me and my dad!

Of course, no DW blog post is complete without a cute tram picture, Ella's favorite ride.

Love,

Hey, I am enjoying seeing all your pics...makes me wanna go! Parents.com is doing a photo contest for dads with their kids so if you have one you deem worthy to enter you should do it!! but i am not sure on the whole privacy factor of entering a picture so be careful! Ella is turning 2.....yay!!! you are right this stage is fun....most of the time. Having an infant around makes me realise just how fun this phase is. I just want Abby to be up and walking and running and talking! I might regret that :)

She looks like she had a blast! I am so glad you got to go! Smart to get in a plane ticket before she turns 2 and you have to pay!!!
That's why we took a last minute CT trip! Logan even got his own seat because the plane was empty!
I saw Ella sprawling out in her own seat too!
