April 3!

For the past week, I've been seeing 3's & 0's everywhere I look. And it's probably because tomorrow, April 3rd...I turn the big 30!! I really can't believe it. And yes, I am having a bit of a mid-life crisis because of it. :-) It's just weird. This is the last few minutes of my life that I'll be in my 20's. It's weird.

My sweet friend Amanda gave me some words of encouragement today that definitely helped. She said, "Just think, now you are the youngest of everyone in your decade." As silly as this sounds, it actually helped me feel better.

My cousin Matt, whom I LOVE and is a couple years older than me, told me the other day that "30 wasn't bad, it was 31 that really got him." That made me laugh.

So, I would LOVE to know what you did for your 30th birthday AND if you had issues with it AND if you did, how you coped?

It's going to be a good birthday weekend! I just know it.

Happy 30th Janelle. It's not that bad. My 30's were some of the greatest years. Ella will grow so much and change when you are in your 30's. Enjoy them, because you usually start falling apart at 40. Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday! I won't tell you my 30th story because it might embarrass someone ... my hubby :) But I hope you have a great one! the 30's aren't that bad ... it's the 40's that scare me :)

Well, I read the other day that 40 is the new 20 (which I'm holding on to because I'm only 3 years away). So if that's true, then you're not even a teenager yet.

Happy Birthday! You'll love your 30's. It's been my favorite decade.

You have a wonderful birthday girlfriend! I think if you can take a mental moment to ponder over the things God has done for you in these last 29 years of your life, it may make this next one sweeter ... It'll give you something to be excited about!

Happy Birthday JANELLE!!!

When I turned 30, my dear friend, Melisa, went shopping with me and to lunch. I had $250 to spend! And I bought $100 giant bear. Hee hee!

Then my parents took me and our family out to supper. It was a fantastic day.

So celebrate and do something special and memorable and even silly.

LOVE and PRAYERS for you,
Holly

Happy Birthday, Janelle. I've been keeping up with your blog for a while, so today was a great day to comment! I hope that your 3-0 is great. I have just over 350 more days before my 3-0...my twin sis and I are already saving our pennies to do something special - together!

Happy Birthday, Janelle!!!!! 30 wasn't so bad for me.......33 and 34 were rough.....now I'm 35 and I figure it's time for me to come to terms with my age and live in the moment.....that is my goal. =)

Hi Janelle! I came over from Amanda J.'s blog cause she mentioned it was your birthday. So Happy Birthday! I"ll be turning 30 next month and I'll admit until fairly recently I was really dreading it. But God has been doing some amazing things in me and now I'm rather excited about it! My 20's were good to me in a lot of ways, but sometimes I wonder how I functioned through them. Though I dread some of what age can bring-sag, a slowed metabolism etc., I look so forward to living it in the freedom Christ offers me! Sorry for the long comment, but hey, you asked! :) Have an awesome 30th!

The thirties were not so bad. It was when I had my birthday in the turning of the decades. Like when 1980 came around. I was turning sixteen. When 1990 hit, I had graduated from college and working a real job. 2000 came along and I was half way thru the thirties and still single. When 2010 comes along who knows!
Enjoy your birthday.

Hi Janelle, Happy Birthday!! I read your blog on a regular basis and I love reading about y'alls adventures. 30's are wonderful, so are 40's and I had a fit thinking several years ago I would turn 50. It hasn't been bad. When I was turning 30 we were in a backsliden lifestyle, so I'm not going to share anything. Blessings to you and your family.

Happy Birthday Janelle! I hope you had a wonderful day!!

I just turned 30 and don't think it's so bad! :) A friend reminded me upon turning 30, of how much God has done in my life the past 29 years. Having that perspective made me feel so blessed and excited to see what the next 30 holds.

God bless!
Liz

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY!!! (a little late)

I turned 30 last year and it was my favorite birthday so far! We struggled with infertility for years. During that time every birthday was a sad reminder that another year passed by without any children being added to our family.

Six weeks before I turned 30 God gave me the most precious gift of all...our newborn foster son! He will be 14 months old tomorrow and we are getting closer and closer to finally being able to adopt him!

This decade started off GREAT and I can't wait to see what God is going to do over the next 9 years!

I was at Amanda's blog and she told us it was your birthday and I am a little late but I wanted to wish you a belated birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day and enjoyed your camping trip!
OH, I can't remember my 30th it has been 14 years ago. Now, when you turn 40 I will be able to come back and tell you how I brought in my 40th b'day. One I will never forget. lol

Blessings,
Patty

You're so old! ;) (I can say that until May - ack!) I'm kinda excited about 30. Maybe 'cause I'm one of the last ppl to hit it, I don't feel as freaked. Then again, I might freak out once May gets here... I can't even believe we're not teenagers anymore - how can we be getting this "old"?!

My husband and I married when I was 27 and he was 26. He was in college and I worked at the university. One day when I was nearly 30, a work study student noticed his picture on my shelf and asked if he was my SON!!! 20 years later I can laugh about it, but at the time I was really upset.
