Wiki Wiki!

How many of you recognized the title of this post? I'm going to assume quite a few since it is the month for VBS. Maybe the next president can make it National VBS Month. Wiki Wiki is one of the song titles to Lifeway's VBS theme this year. It's actually a pretty cute song. Anyway...our VBS starts tomorrow and like I explained in my post last year on VBS, I am once again in charge of the morning worship rally and music. But I am so thankful this year because I found two incredibly talented young women that are going to do all the happy, peppy stuff on stage and I am going to run the behind the scene things, a place where I am much, MUCH more comfortable. Needless to say, tomorrow starts a busy week.

Total change of topic: Who watched the season premiere of ARMY WIVES Sunday night? Oh it was SO good. I'm not really into the Lifetime channel, but this show really is great. If you don't know about it, you can go to the Lifetime website and catch up! It's one of those shows that makes you laugh and cry all in 30 seconds.

Last random thought: My friend Linsey is doing a bloggy bookclub and her first book to pick is My Sister's Keeper. I started reading it last week and it's almost unbearably sad, but it is also incredibly thought provoking. If you've read it and have an opinion, you can leave it here.

Oh and I just saw that this is my 300th post. Nothing really particularly great about that, but I am easily ammused.

Hope y'all have a good rest of the week. And if you are in the middle of your VBS week, persevere and keep up the good work. You are changing the lives of our precious little ones!

I just left a post on the blog about the book. I am finished. That is all I will say!

I love Army Wives. I haven't watched the new one, but I loved last season and am glad they brought it back!

Have fun a VBS!

We sure are in the middle of our VBS! How can a few hours a day take so much out of you. We came home today and I took a 2 hour nap??? Crazyness!! I had a random post too, just like you. Must be random time :)

I hope your bible school goes well.
I know you will be absolutely exhausted when it is over but I hope that it is fun and rewarding, too!
I think since I'm moving that I am going to miss bible school at *both* places.......dare I say that I am lucky?

Janelle, found your blog through Linsey's and I love Army Wives. My husband will soon be an army chaplain, so I am intrigued by this show. Loved last season as well. Pretty good for Lifetime! (which i don't watch either!)

In this world full of shifting sand, we'll stand firm on our Lord's commands. We'll live His unshakable truth on Outrigger Island.

We know that one around here!

Anyway, my kids went to our old church a couple weeks ago and they did this VBS.
We actually did Dino Detectives at our church. We just got done with that yesterday.
It was a wondefully long week!
