Falling Whistles

Saturday night, Linsey and I attended the Falling Whistles Benefit Concert here in Dallas.

Falling Whistles is an organization that draws awareness to the young boys in the Congo that are kidnapped, stripped from their homes and tortured. Only to be used on the front lines of war to be killed.

This is a quote from their website.

"THEIR SOLE DUTY IS TO MAKE ENOUGH NOISE TO SCARE THE ENEMY AND THEN TO RECEIVE – WITH THEIR BODIES – THE FIRST ROUND OF BULLETS.
Lines of boys fall as nothing more than a temporary barricade."

I found out about this organization through a guy named Jonathan Carr who was on the Africa with me. Upon our arrival, he started working for Falling Whistles. It was a really good night to help such a sad cause.

Linsey and I heading out.

That just makes me so sad to hear that...I am glad that there is an organization out there to help these boys...how can people be so heartless and brutal?
