There's no place like home, there's no place like home...

We got back from Kansas Tuesday afternoon. We were gone for such a long time, but it was amazing. We had a really fun time. Ella got to experience some things she never had before, like riding a four wheeler, riding a horse (she has done this a couple of times) and riding a tractor. Can you tell we were in the country, y'all?

I literally took 300 pictures. Don't worry, I won't subject you to all of them. I will however break my trip up into a few different posts because these pictures of the Punkin are just to cute for you not to see.

We had such a fun time with our family. We only get to see a few times a year, but whenever we get together, it's as if we had never been apart. I'm sure you guys all have friends or family that is similar. I love my mom's family. They have all lived and grown up in this one small town in Kansas and they love it. In fact, my mom is the only one that eventually moved away when she married my dad and he snatched her away to the big city. This small town is so familiar to me. I've never visited my mom's family anywhere else. It would be really strange and sad to visit their home if it was suddenly in a different place.

My Aunt and Uncle have a house "in town", but they also have a farm outside of town. Whenever we visit, we usually spend one of our days doing farm things with them. It's really nice for me to experience that life every once in a while. It certainly is a peaceful life.

By the way...Ella did great in the car for those many hours! The best she has ever done. I know it was because of your prayers. Thank you so much!!

Ella and Cousin David (my 5 month old second cousin) were reintroduced. They haven't seen each other in 3 months.

Telling secrets already?

Apparently it was something good.

So precious!!! The country is such a nice peaceful place. I love to go there every once and a while to experience life at a slower place. Then I start to twitch for the big red bullseye!
