On their way home, we spontaneously decided it would be really fun and great if they stayed with us Sunday night to break up their trip. I'm so glad it worked out because we had blast.
Heath had dinner ready for them when they arrived. We had Heath's amazing mexican brisket tacos! Yum. It is maybe my favorite thing Heath makes.
Ella and Jackson always have a great time. Thankfully it had only been a couple of months between visits this time. We had just spent a week with them at camp in March.
Ella and Jackson would take turns playing the piano. One would play while the other danced.
Heath, Ella, Jackson, Curtis
We were comparing the size of Ella's feet compared to Jackson's.
Watching a movie before bedtime.
After we put the kids to bed, we dug out a game from the 60's called Probe. Has anyone ever played this? Anyway, we played one round (which I won!) and then moved on to Phase 10. It was a very competitive game. It was pretty much neck and neck and then Amanda and Heath left Curtis and I in the dust. Heath ended up being victorious about 1:00 a.m. So pretty much the Hartsfields dominated the Jones in game night. We'll take you on in a rematch if you dare. :-)
Good morning fruit loops.
A new band!
We made a stop at Meme's Cafe for breakfast before they headed out of town. I couldn't believe the Jones family had never been there when they lived up here. We are big fans of Meme's. There is one right across the street from Baylor Grapevine where I had Ella. Heath and I would often head over to Meme's for their french toast breakfast after my doctors' appts while I was pregnant. That maybe contributed to my 45lb weight gain!
Thank you guys so much for making our otherwise nothing planned for Memorial weekend fun and stopping in for a break from the road. We had a blast and can't wait for our next family weekend!

I LOVE visits from friends and family!!
It looks like a fun time and the pictures are precious :)
Much love

It's always fun to spend time with friends you have a history with- you can just jump right in without giving an hour's worth of history to explain what you're feeling and thinking! Rejoicing with you!
