Playdate at the Airport
We have had some fun playdates the last few weeks. Last Thursday we went to the airport observation park and got to have a picnic and watch the planes land. It was so cool. 
"It's a plane!" Ella kept saying, "Joshua, did you see the plane?" in her cute little voice. 
Gabe and Ella had sweet picnic moments. 
Look at Gabe's face checking out Ella's sandwich. It was cracking me up! 
Tobey and Joshua had some serious fun running up and down this hill.
Then later that day, we got to watch Joshua for a little bit while Melissa, Peter and Gabe went to a meeting. They got back a lot earlier than expected so we were able to all spend some time together.
Ella loves trying to hold Gabe. 
Joshua is really into smelling candles. Since he could walk, he would find his way to a candle just so he could smell it. It's really cute. Ella always follows his lead with the candles and they thought it was the funniest thing to smell them and then laugh really hard. 
It was a really fun day!!

I love to watch the planes take-off and land. It is something that my dad started me on. He used to fly the smaller 2 and 4 passenger planes. That was one of my favorite things to do with him. He stopped flying when he lost his hearing in one of his ears, due to a tumor. He didn't want to fly if he couldn't hear as well. It was a passion of his that I hate he had to give up. I know he misses it and I do too. I've always wanted to learn how to fly.

The airport park was a fantastic idea. We had such a good time!
Watch those kids! Loving to smell candles quickly becomes loving to eat candles. We all struggle with our own vices.

What a FUN playdate...and so unique! I am just loving all of Ella's expressions. And that last picture is such an understatement of her excitement! :)
I am chomping at the bit to take Ava to that park! So sad we missed it!
