Mother's Day Recap

It was a fantastic Mother's Day weekend. I just can NOT believe that this was my THIRD Mother's Day to celebrate. THIRD! How did that happen?

Anyway...

Saturday night Heath made me one of my favorite meals, guacomole burgers! He makes the best burgers and the best guacomole, so put them together and you have awesome.

THEN, while we were watching a movie, he gave me a foot massage with lotion and everything. I don't think that has ever happened in our 2 weeks shy of 6 year marriage. Heath hates feet, he even doesn't like mine, so this was huge.

Sunday morning we got to church early so we could attend the Mother/Daughter Tea. That morning when I got Ella out of her crib, I could not stop whispering in her ear over and over that I am so blessed to be her mother. From the second I laid on eyes on that 4 lb 15 oz baby, I was in love. She is the most darling, sweetest thang with the most endearing personality. She is everything girly from head to toe. Even with her words, which is more evidence of the girly because they are nonstop. It is the sweetest little voice. Her favorite thing to do is sit at her little piano and bang at the keys while at the same time singing "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Jesus Loves Me", "I'm In The Lord's Army", or "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". It's like having a ticket to the best show on earth every single day! A ticket to this show is worth millions in my eyes. I just love everyday of my life with her and I'm so thankful.

This is the Mother's Day Tea.

So she isn't fond of oranges.

I love this picture of us, mainly because it shows Ella's extreme likeness to chocolate.

Heath had to work Sunday afternoon (I know!), so Melissa and Peter were so kind to ask Ella and I to go to lunch with them after church. Joshua and Ella enjoyed playing with their Chipotle very much.

That evening Heath, Ella and I went over to my parent's house for a nice relaxing dinner!

Love, love, love this face!

Ella LOVES going over to my parent's house for many reasons, but one of those is because their living room is huge and there is so much space for her to run and run in, which she does without ceasing. It's very fun to watch.

They also have a fabulous yard to run in too!

Doesn't Ella look like she's about to do a round off, back hand spring? She had her very first gymnastics class last Thursday and she's already a pro. hehe

Daddy and Ella playing a little soccer. Ella loves her Daddy!! They are always so sweet together.

Happy Mother's Day mom! Thank you for being the best mother I could imagine. I am so thankful that you are here for me with whatever I need. You give 100% to me and Michelle. You give me wisdom when making decisions and you support me in them. I don't know what I would do if you weren't right down the street. I am so blessed. I love you!

Wow. One who detests feet giving a foot massage. That's love.

Happy Late Mother's Day, Janelle! Just from your blog I know you are a wonderful mother and Ella is blessed to have you!

I have been so out of blog world for a while and have so missed it. But, to answer your question, I am the Girls Ministry Director at Cypress Bible Church. Not HFBC! I do, however, try and go there whenever I get a chance, besides Beth, because it gives me a chance to meet people my age (something my church doesn't have as much as!) and because I do just love that church and all the teachers! I normally just go on Sunday nights now!

Anyway, hope you are well! Have a great week!
