Humbleness

So I was driving my car the other day with my sweet daughter in the backseat. I was singing (maybe a little bit passionately) to my new Third Day Christmas CD (which is awesome), when all of the sudden Ella says quite frankly,

"No Mama, no."

There's nothing more humbling than your 21 month old baby crushing any illusion that I actually might sound like the singer on the cd.

My son tells me I make his ears bleed..:))

I'm thinking we shouldn't form a girl band?

Oh my gosh, I used to say that EXACT thing to my mother at church (during the hymns)! I'd put my hand over mouth and say, "No, Mama, No."

To this day I cringe with embarrassment when other people sing publicly, unless they are really really good. I can't bear to watch American Idol.

What was your response? Did you stop or just sing louder?

Also, did you get my e-mail re: moms/Bell's Palsy? I'm having some e-mail problems w/outbound mail...

I remember my son used to say this... "Mom, who sings that song?" And I'd tell him and he'd say... "let's keep it that way." He was only kidding! I love the Third Day Christmas CD.

That's too funny! I use to sing Tobey to sleep. He hasn't cared for that in a quite a while. He usually moans until i stop. So rude=)

That is too funny. Kinsey has started doing this also. In fact, right now, her answer for everything is "No Maam". I'm trying to teach her how to say yes maam, but she just won't have it. :)

Yep! Nothing like having your kids tell you not to do something.
Children keep you honest don't they?
Hope you are having a fabulous Wednesday!

That is too funny!! You were hurting precious Ella's ears! Just kidding. I think we all need to blog once a week about the funny things our little ones do and say. What do you think? We can call it "Weekly Funnies"

Hi! I haven't been by in forever it seems, so I have been catching up. I love the Santa on the Roof tradition! The Princess' Santa pictures would look the exact same...if I could even get her close. She prefers to look at him from the upper level at the mall.

And this story cracked me up!

LOL!!
That is too funny!
Both my boys tell me to stop singing and I like to sing it out when I am listening to my praise and worship.
Oh well!!

I was just looking at your favorite movies and saw, "Lady in the Water." I want to rent it, but I am too chicken! Ha, ha, ha! Is it scary? Maybe I just need to take the plunge! : )

Lady in the Water isn't scarey (and I'm a scaredy cat with movies) in case your friend reads this, although you probably already assured her! ;) I sent you a message about the phone pics thingy! :) Let me know how things go with that!!! My phone pics are very precious to me because I always have my phone with me in "emergency" cute moments!!! :) Good luck!
